I’m thrilled to share some exciting news—I’ve been nominated for the TEDx Portland stage to present my talk, “Little Steps. BIG CHANGE.” I believe this message has the power to inspire and uplift the Portland community and beyond, and I would love your support to help bring my voice to this platform.
Currently the Executive Director of Bridges Middle School, Oregon’s only middle school exclusively serving students with learning disabilities and differences, and founder of GNOMASTE coaching, I have devoted nearly 30 years of my life to advocating for neurodiverse individuals. I know the challenges faced by neurodiverse students and their families firsthand and I have dedicated my career to fostering hope and empowerment within this community.
What I hope makes me stand out for TedX Portland, is my ability to connect with people through storytelling. My first-hand experience as a mother and a cancer warrior allows me to speak with empathy and compassion that resonate deeply.
My passion for mindfulness led me to develop what I call a GNOMASTE mindset designed to make mindfulness simple and effective for individuals and families. I am on a personal mission to help others find peace amid the chaos of daily life. In my talk, I share practical strategies to help anyone create a more mindful, present life. I emphasize that meaningful change doesn’t require grand gestures—small, intentional steps can and do lead to big, lasting change.
By supporting my nomination to TedX Portland, you’re helping to amplify a message of hope, resilience, and personal growth.
